Roof Fixing Supplies
For longer than anyone can remember ridges have been
bedded & pointed in mortar. The mortar bed holds down the ridge
while the pointing finishes off the appearance. The disadvantages
are obvious. The conventional pointing is rigid and cracks, other
tradesman working on the roof may damage the mortar. During storms
section of loose ridging may dislodge.
Where should flexible pointing be used? Certainly
in areas with wind speeds above 33 m/s, on high profile tiles, steeply
pitched roofs or those with difficult access, for example high rise buildings.
NO LOOSE COLLARS!
NO STORM DAMAGE!
